April

Hi there! I’m April and let me tell you a little about myself. I’m quite the talker I love to chit chat, I’m so sweet and snuggly too. I really like treats and pets, I could sit on that couch all day and purr my heart away. I was rescued by the ASPCA, they brought me to WHARF and I’ve been patiently waiting for my forever home. I’m good with cats, dogs and kids. I’m spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattooed.

Artie

I was rescued by a lovely girl named Steph who brings WHARF lots of animals from the northern communities she lives by. I was a stray but Steph seamed to quite enjoy my presence (obviously she did I’m amazing, everyone loves me). I stayed at her house for a couple weeks and found out that I do not like other animals at all. I should be  a single cat home with no other animals. I use the litter box perfectly I’m quiet and a little playful too, I love to cuddle and would be a great for a first time cat owner. I’m neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tattooed.

Bandit

I’m a very nice shy cat. I’m sure I’d be more outgoing if a was in a home, more myself, and happier but right now thats not me. I’m scared at the shelter, I had a home once, just a couple weeks ago. I don’t know what happened, where did it all go wrong? Where is my brother Bear? Why aren’t we together anymore? I don’t know whats going on but WHARF told me that my owner died. I’m a cat and I don’t know what that means or why I’m here. I’m nice, so nice! I would never hurt a fly, I just want someone to take me home and keep me safe and take my fear away. I’m neutered vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.

Boots

My name is Boots, and I’m a gentle, friendly guy who likes to play, but also loves to snuggle. People tell me my green eyes, beautiful coat, and “boot-like” white paws are some of my best physical characteristics. My previous owners loved me very much, but had to move into a seniors’ home. I’m only 2 years old, so I’m energetic when I want to play. I’m also an old soul, though, and my cuddling skills are down to a tee, so I’ll come to you for cheek-scratching and nuzzles when you’re in the room or sit down. I have so much love to give, and will curl up on your lap or nestle into the covers on your bed every chance I get. I’m looking forward to going to my forever home, and can’t wait for you to come and meet and get to know me????

Cali

I have been in care for 440+ days. Please bring me home today!

Hi everyone, I am Cali. I am a playful, kind and gentle cat but also quite timid – so I don’t like to be picked up……..yet. I arrived at WHARF in summer of 2017 with 10 other cats and kittens, and have been living in a foster home with several of these cats ever since. I had a hard couple of years with minimal human contact, but I am learning to love and trust people. Because I had been out in the cold without proper shelter, I had frostbite and lost part of my ear and some of my tail, but this just adds to my amazing personality. My foster mom has been very patient with me and has allowed me to take my time adjusting to her. She feeds me whenever I am hungry (which is awesome) and she plays all kinds of games with me using feathers, string toys and balls. I love getting pets from her and rubbing up against her legs at feeding time. She got me this great scratching post which I love to climb and sit on to watch the birds and squirrels in the yard. I also have tons of toys to play with and several other cats to snuggle up to at bedtime. I am really good with cats and dogs and I am spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattooed.

Cleo

Hello, I am a very shy and nervous girl that needs to find a very patient and understanding family in a quiet home. I came into WHARF’s care from a farm where I had to hunt for my own food and find shelter during the winter months. I am slightly overweight as I have taken full advantage of being provided an unlimited supply of food. I don’t like to be picked up and although my foster mom pets me everyday I still don’t really enjoy it. I don’t want to become a barn cat as I like being indoors and being pampered but I don’t know how long it is going to take for me to trust humans. If you are willing to allow me to be me and know that I may always be standoffish, then please consider adopting me and giving me my forever home – I deserve a chance. I love other cats and get along fine with dogs, I actually love and trust all animals as I have always been around them. I am spayed, dewormed and tattooed.

Jack

Hello there! My name is Jack, short for One Eyed Jack because, you guessed it… I only have one eye! ???? Don’t let that freak you out though I am well adjusted and forget what it’s even like to have two. I am a gentle old soul and am very well socialized with humans after having countless cat sitters when my former snowbird parents went away. I love to check in with you when you get home and chat about the big adventures you face out there in the world. Other than that though, I’m I real chill guy – I enjoy “meditating”, looking out the window and contemplating life, sleeping in one of my signature spots or sitting next to you and quietly purring. Every now and then I dip into the nip and might play with a toy after that but my depth perception is a bit off so I get discouraged from games quite easily. I’m no spring kitten! Speaking of kittens, I don’t really get along with them or any other felines so I’m best suited for a single cat home. I am very affectionate, a good listener and an excellent cuddler making me the perfect fur friend for the end of a long day.

Milky

I’ve been in care for a whole year! I am patiently waiting for my forever home!

Milky is one small handsome man! He has come around and done a full 180 since we’ve fostered him. He is very shy and timid at first. I don’t like loud noises or very fast movements around me at first. Let me get to know you first!!!! Which makes me think living with adults with no children would be best for him. But once I get used to my new environment my personality really starts to show through and I will start to come out more until I fully feel safe in my new place! He loves to run around and play with toys. I love love to snuggle and hang out with my two cat friends. We are best friends. I think having my two cats helps him feel safe! I think being adopted into a home with other cats would be best for me. He also talks to me like there is no tomorrow. We have full on conversations sometimes. Oh and I looooves to eat food and dig in my foster mums plants so they just put rocks on top of the soil and it’s stopped me. I am neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and I am tattooed

Rogue

I have been in care for 470+ days. Please bring me home today!

Meow, I am Rogue and I am a beautiful independent tuxedo cat who likes to do things my own way. I am a bit shy and really don’t like sudden movements. If you give me some time I know we will become very close and then I won’t be able to get enough of your pets and cuddles. I am very active and love to play (laser, fishing, feathers). While my foster mom is at work, I spend my time watching the birds and squirrels in the yard, climbing things, and hanging out with my sister Storm. I would really like to go with her to a new home. I was not fed good food before I came into WHARF so I have a sensitive stomach and need a special diet, but this is easily managed. I am spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattooed

Skittle

I’ve been in care for a whole year! I am patiently waiting for my forever home!

MEOW – Look at Me – I am Skittles and I am a very bold, energetic, beautiful, slightly (emphasize the slightly!) overweight young lady. I love to play with anything and everything that moves (including my foster mom) and climb on shelves, cat posts and anything else that may be available. I love to be held and carried around – you could never give me too much attention and I will play with you until you tire out, my energy is endless. I can be aggressive with other cats but I don’t hurt them I just want them to know I am the queen. I live with four other foster cats and we all get along, but at times, I do chase and play fight with them. I am spayed, tattooed and dewormed.

Smartie

I have been in care for 470+ days. Please give me my forever home. I deserve it!

Purr Purr, my name is Smartie and I came into WHARF’s care in October 2017 with my sister Snickers and our daughters, Twix, Twizzler and Tootsie. Until WHARF took me in I spent all my life on the streets struggling to find food and avoid the nasty neighbours that didn’t like me. My foster mom is kind and gentle and she is helping me to learn that I can trust people. I have learnt that human touch is wonderful and I love to be pet, but I still do not like to be picked up. I love to play with string toys but I am very cautious and don’t like loud noises or sudden movements. I need a quiet home with a family that will give me the time I need to adjust and trust them. It may take a while but I promise once I am comfortable with you my love will be unconditional. I get along great with other cats and I am spayed, dewormed and tattooed.

Snickers

I have been in care for 470+ days. Please be my forever family!

Psst – my name is Snickers and I am a very shy girl who is just now learning to trust my foster mom. I have been in WHARF’s care for just under a year so it has taken me a long time to come around. I spent my entire life on the streets scrounging for food and avoiding nasty neighbors that would throw things at me and chase me away – then I met my foster mom. She has taught me it is okay to trust humans and I now enjoy being pet and I am starting to come out of my shell. I am still very nervous of loud noises and fast movements, I don’t like to be picked up and I am not sure what this “play” thing is all about. I spend my days watching the birds outside of the window and snuggling with the other cats I live with. I need a quiet home with a family that will be patient and allow me the time I need to adjust. I get along great with other cats and I am spayed, dewormed and tattooed.

Sophia

I have been in care for 590+ days. I am the longest cat in care on the WHARF website. Please adopt me!

Sophia is a very sweet lady. She is a gentle soul and very well-behaved. She likes to use the scratching post and is so smart; she took to it instantly without having to be told. She doesn’t always trust humans and can be a little bit shy, especially when she first comes into a new environment. Give her just a little of time (a couple days) and she’ll be your best buddy. Her favorite is neck and chin scratches, and she loves to be brushed! Sophia is probably best suited to a home with older kids, adults or seniors, only because she can be a bit nervous of too must fast activity. Sophia was fostered in a home with another female cat and, for a mother of two, she did very well making friends. Her husky meows are adorable and she just wants to have a conversation! She prefers wet food (Fancy Feast or Friskees chunks or shredded) and likes to have dry cat food on hand at all times. She also likes to drink water out of shallow glass that her foster mommy kept on the coffee table for her. After having two adorable babies (Olive and Octavio) Sophia is looking for her forever home to provide her with the safe and loving home she deserves. She is spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed and tattooed.

Hi, my name is Storm and if you are looking for a cute little girl with lots of attitude then I would be the purrfect fit for you. I came into WHARF over a year ago with my sister Rogue and several other cats and kittens. Most of the other kittens have found their forever homes and now it is my turn. Don’t let my small size fool you, I am feisty and full of energy. I am very affectionate and love to be held, on my terms. I was not fed good food before I came into WHARF so I have a sensitive stomach and need a special diet, but this is easily managed. I am great with other cats and enjoy teasing the dog I live with. I have lived my whole life with my sister Rogue and would love to go to a home with her if you are looking for a fantastic pair of tuxedo cats. I am spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.

Why do I have to live in a cage? Where is my family? Why did they leave me behind? I miss the others cat I lived with I want to feel safe again. I want a home, will you adopt me? I want love, unconditional love and a forever home. I’m neutered, vaccinated dewormed and tattooed. Just a bit of time and I promise we will be best friends.

Trip

I came to WHARF as a stray cat. My leg was already missing and I had no traceable identification. I come off as the grumpiest 3 legged cat ever but believe my foster mom when she tells you that I am all talk. I am very agile with 3 legs and have no problem with stairs or jumping on the bed. I love to snuggle and am in a foster home with kids cats and dogs whom I tolerate but am very vocal about the fact that I really think I should be living alone. I can live with other animals and little people but I’m definitely not shy about voicing my opinions. I am a prince, I’m sure my great, great grand cat came from Egypt. So remember that when you bring me home…once a prince always a prince.

Twix

I’ve been in care for a whole year! I am patiently waiting for my forever home!

I am Twix, and I am a sweet cat who came into WHARF foster care in October with my almost identical sister Twizzler, another kitten Tootsie, and three mama cats. We spent the first few months of our lives without any human contact and we had neighbors who were not very nice to us, so I am still quite apprehensive around people. I can be held and pet, but you will have to work a little bit to get me to agree to do this. I do love to play with other cats and kittens, but don’t like any sudden movements. I would prefer a quiet home with people who are patient and will allow me to take the time I need to adjust. If possible, it would be great if I could find a home with my sister Twizzler as we have spent our entire lives together and she is my best friend. I am spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattooed.

Twizzler

I’ve been in care for a whole year! I am patiently waiting for my forever home.

My name is Twizzler, and just like my wonderful sister Twix, I came into WHARF foster care in October 2017 with another kitten and three mama cats. For the few months of my life I didn’t have much human contact, other than some neighbours who were not very nice and threw things at me and chased me away. I do enjoy playing with the other foster cats I live with, but it takes quite of bit of nerve for me to warm up to humans. I do like pets from my foster mom and will sleep on the bed with her but everything is on my terms. If you are patient, give me lots of attention and avoid sudden movements, I will most definitly overcome my shyness and warm up to you. My other sister Tootise, Twix and I were named at Halloween when my mom was handing out candy – maybe that’s why we are all so sweet!  I am very bonded with my sister Twix and would love to be adopted with her if you are interested in twins. I am spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattooed.
