Brave

Brave isn’t always napping but that is definitely the easiest time to take a photo!

Brave is a very special puppy. He was abandoned by his mom, left alone under someone’s deck. He has Cerebral Hypoplasia. This makes him wobbly when he walks. His home would need patience to work with him. Because he was bottle fed he has not learned bite inhibition, so he bites quite hard. He is not house trained yet but he does do well in the kennel when you are gone. He loves to nap and snuggle!

Age: 3.5 months
Breed: Lab X
Location: Edmonton
Intake: February 2019
Adoption Fee: $450

Inquire about Brave

Cerebellar hypoplasia is a disease that denotes an inadequate development of the cerebellum, a section of the brainstem largely responsible for modulating motor impulses. Affected dogs and cats therefore fail to move normally, especially when it comes to maintaining normal balance, posture, and coordination.

Some pets are functional and make acceptable pets. The deficits are generally permanent but non-progressive. Some symptoms may appear to improve as the pet adapts to their abilities. Their life span is normal.
