Playtime is exhausting!

I am a loving dog who is looking for my family. I think I would do well on a farm. I am good with cattle and don’t chase cats or rabbits. I am amazing off leash and I don’t run away. I love my humans too much. Which is also a bit of a problem in certain situations.

I have two things you will need to help me with:

 1) I was adopted last November and then returned to WHARF recently. Once I was back at the WHARF farm another dog bit off the tip of my ear. Now I feel grouchy towards certain small dogs, my foster mom is working with me on this.

2) I have severe anxiety about being home alone. I can’t even be home alone for short periods without getting upset and wrecking the house or kennel. This is making city life tough for me.

If I had a home with a big, confident dog to keep me company I would likely do well. I would be happy on a farm where I can be outside when you go out, and I have some freedom to play with another dog buddy. I might do well following around a farmer all day. I love people and I just want to be with them all the time. Right now I am doing well in my foster home with kids, a cat and my big dog friend, Boomer. Right now I’m not left alone because I get too crazy. I am such a loving, kind dog that just needs someone who understands that I can’t help the way I feel when my humans leave. I’m about 65lbs. If you want to see more photos and video of me head to Shauna’s Foster Dog Family on Facebook. I’m neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. Please ask about me today!

Twizzler

I’ve been in care for a whole year! I am patiently waiting for my forever home.

My name is Twizzler, and just like my wonderful sister Twix, I came into WHARF foster care in October 2017 with another kitten and three mama cats. For the few months of my life I didn’t have much human contact, other than some neighbours who were not very nice and threw things at me and chased me away. I do enjoy playing with the other foster cats I live with, but it takes quite of bit of nerve for me to warm up to humans. I do like pets from my foster mom and will sleep on the bed with her but everything is on my terms. If you are patient, give me lots of attention and avoid sudden movements, I will most definitly overcome my shyness and warm up to you. My other sister Tootise, Twix and I were named at Halloween when my mom was handing out candy – maybe that’s why we are all so sweet!  I am very bonded with my sister Twix and would love to be adopted with her if you are interested in twins. I am spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattooed.
